4Runner/Tacoma Twin Traction Beam Swap Kit

This is a weld-it-yourself kit that will allow you to bolt up a set of Dana 44 Twin Traction Beams to your 2003-2024 4Runner and 2005-2023 Tacoma. This kit replaces your factory a-arm front crossmembers with two new crossmembers and mounts specifically designed to mount twin traction beams. This kit comes in individual pieces and it is up to a qualified fabricator to put it together. Significant cutting and welding is required. This kit will cycle between 18-20 inches of clean 4×4 travel with +4” beams.

Note: a 4×4 engine oil pan may be required to fit the TTB crossmembers.

What’s Included:

·       Everything needed to mount the beams to the frame (Front and rear crossmembers, driver and passenger beam mounts)

·       Radius arm kit (everything needed to make complete radius arms and mount them)

·       Complete dual swingset steering system (Designed to be used with a 1986-1995 Toyota 4runner or pickup steering box)

·       1.5”x 0.25” 4130 tube for the steering links

·       Delrin bushings/sleeves for the steering swingers

·       8x Barnes 4×4 3 piece chromoly 7/8 heims, 8x weld in tube bungs, 8x misalignment spacers, 2x jam nuts

·       2x Barnes 4×4 3 piece chromoly1 ¼ heims, 2x weld in tube bungs, 2x misalignment spacers, 2x jam nuts

·       2× 1” FK uniballs

·       6× 3/4” 12 point grade 9 bolts

·       8× 5/8” 12 point grade 9 bolts

·       Lower coilover mounts

What else is needed:

·       A set of Dana 44 twin traction beams (approx $300)

·       A 1986-1995 Toyota 4runner or pickup steering box (approx $50)

·       Steering linkage from the steering box to the steering wheel (approx $100)

·       whatever pitman arm you choose

·       14” coilovers

·       Upper shock towers (there isn’t a one size fits all solution to this due to the vastly different style of vehicles this swap is applicable to. It could be as simple as a tube shock hoop, or an entire engine cage).
